Greensoft GMC has undertaken analysis of the common pitfalls and best practices in project and program delivery. A summary brochure can be downloaded HERE and Greensoft GMC is available to provide further specific advice if required.

We have undertaken Mid-Term Reviews and Terminal Evaluations of climate change and natural resource management projects and programmes for a range of agencies including the World Bank, Global Environment Facility (GEF), Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), UN-REDD, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Assessments have been conducted both in relation to REDD+ National Programs and climate adaptation and mitigation projects. GMC has specific technical expertise and evaluation experience across a wide range of project areas including:

  • Sustainable forest management
  • Forest monitoring and forest inventory systems
  • Community-based regeneration of forests
  • Meteorological early warning systems
  • Integrated watershed management
  • Biodiversity
  • Waste management
  • Livelihood development

The evaluations that we have been involved in are based on the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC) evaluation criteria. These cover five thematic areas: Relevance, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Sustainability and Impact. Our evaluations also put great emphasis on helping programs and projects to improve and learn from the evaluation results.

Evaluations have been undertaken in a range of countries including Uganda, Papua New Guinea, Zambia, Tanzania, Cambodia, Royal Kingdom of Bhutan, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, New Zealand, Guyana, Ghana, Indonesia, Nigeria, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, Lesotho and Nigeria.
