We have widespread experience with UN REDD+ and a full understanding of all the requirements and processes under this Programme. Our experience includes supporting countries during the readiness phase of REDD+. As such, we have been involved in the establishment of national REDD+ frameworks, which are required prior to countries seeking REDD+ payments, including:

• Stakeholder consultation and communication
• Analysing institutional, policy and implementation arrangements.
• Analysis of the drivers of deforestation and forest degradation.
• Development of Forest Reference Emission Level and Forest Reference Levels.
• Institutionalization of National Forest Monitoring Systems.
• Preparation of cost benefit analysis, fund mobilization strategies, safeguards frameworks (Strategic Environmental and Social Assessment), and benefit sharing frameworks.
• Development of National REDD+ Strategies, including undertaking consultations and preparation of strategy options, policies and measures, and implementation framework.

In addition to directly supporting countries in the development of the REDD+ framework Greensoft GMC also has experience in undertaking gap analysis and evaluating progress of UN REDD National Programmes. Assessments of National Programmes have been conducted in Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Bhutan, Cambodia, Lao PDR, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea.
