COP 26: Postponed

Due to the global pandemic, the advisory to the COP talks, administered by the UNFCCC, postponed COP26 in Glasgow to November 1-12, 2021 to “safeguard lives.” UNFCCC stated, “The postponement would better enable all parties to focus on important climate issues while allowing more preparation time.” The postponement allows the UK, COP26’s host, and its Italian partners “to harness their incoming G7 and G20 presidencies in driving climate ambition,” according to the UK Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.
