| 2013 | Italy/Global | Final Evaluation of the Global Forest Resource Assessment
Provided forestry and remote sensing expertise in evaluating the FAO programme for the global Forest Resources Assessment (FRA), which covers all countries and focused on collection, analysis and dissemination of existing information related to forests and their contribution to climate change mitigation. In 2008, FAO received a grant from the European Union through the project GCP/GLO/218/MUL to support the FRA. The evaluation looked at how the programme contributes to improving national forestry monitoring and inventory and climate change response strategies within individual countries. |
